Join the Puppet Place News Team in 2018!

We are recruiting new volunteers to our news team. Specifically we are looking for people with a strong interest and passion for live puppetry in the theatre or on the street. Volunteers are a critical part of our news teams supporting our editor and Puppet Place staff in collating what’s on listings, interviewing puppetry companies and artists and sometimes reviewing shows. We are looking for people who are strong communicators and we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life and across the UK. Ideally, you will be tech and social media savvy with experience of using Mailchimp and WordPress. However, we can provide training if required.

Our newsletter is bi-monthly (i.e goes out every other month) and is enhanced by longer reads on our blog. We generally estimate that this equates to a volunteer time commitment of 3-4 hours per month.

If you are interested in volunteering for Puppet Place on the news team please email

Emma Windsor Newsletter Editor  emma@puppetplace.org

Please outline briefly what you are looking to gain from the experience and what you think you can bring to Puppet Place. We also appreciate it if you can send a CV or portfolio – as this helps us to get to know you better!

We are looking to start new volunteers as part of the news team in January 2018. We would very much appreciate it if you can send your expressions of interest to us by 4pm 22 December.
